Our consultant Helena Ireland featured in this week’s Yorkshire Post in their regular On the Spot feature. In case you missed it, here’s the article…
What was your first job?
A waitress at a Portuguese café.
If you weren’t in your present position, what would you be doing?
I’d be a fashion designer. I go to sleep thinking about what outfit to wear in the morning and probably spend close to 30% of my year’s earnings on clothes.
What is the worst mistake you’ve ever made?
I signed a phone call off with ‘love you’ to a candidate by mistake.
What’s your ideal day away from the office?
A movie day in my PJs.
Name one person you would like to have dinner with and why?
David Mitchell. Peep Show is my favourite programme and I have seen all the episodes probably about 10 times each.
What was your best subject at school?
What are your hobbies?
Running. I find it one of the best ways to de-stress.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
I would travel the world! The most exotic place I have been is Thailand and I’m keen to explore more of the world. Next stop would be Australia.
What is your top time saving tip?
My top time saving tip is walk to and from work. It means you don’t have to wait for the train or bus and can skip the gym!
What is your favourite time of day?
7pm (aka dinner time).
What is your favourite item of clothing?
Trainers! I don’t buy designer clothes or bags, but trainers are what I splash out on. A nice pair of trainers can make any outfit look good.
What’s the best thing about being in Yorkshire?
The lovely people.
What would your epitaph be?
YOLO (You only live once).
