Full/Part-time Commercial Property Solicitor 5+ PQE

Location: Harrogate

Salary: £45,000 - £65,000

Our client is an award-winning and legal 500 rated Yorkshire firm, who are looking for a real estate solicitor to join their busy team in Harrogate.

You will be handling a wide range of commercial property matters for development projects, commercial premises and rural property. The firm is very well connected and their expertise spans as far afield as Australia, Japan and the USA.

The role will involve acting as the ‘face of commercial property.’ They are looking for someone who will be able to create a presence and profile in the property market. This is the perfect for those looking for better exposure and personal visibility than may be available at the larger city firms.

You will be sitting in a close knit commercial team of 10 lawyers spanning across property, dispute resolution, employment and commercial/digital sectors. The commercial team are genuinely committed to supporting one another; so if a commercial property matter requires litigation advice you literally have a team of contentious lawyers at your side (you all sit together in an open office) who are willing to offer their expertise. This creates a really cohesive and values-driven practice. The firm are proud of the supportive and collegiate environment they have created.

You will be dealing with a broad case-load spanning across all areas of commercial property law from; commercial leases (landlord and tenant); development agreements; freehold sales and purchase; conditional sales and overages. Hence, this is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy a varied caseload and are not looking to specialise into a certain area.

Lawyers from smaller, non-city firms but who have experience in top quality commercial work are encouraged to apply. Furthermore, those who perhaps have worked at a smaller firm but have moved to a big city practice and are looking to return to this type environment will also be considered.

Ideally, you will have at least 5 years PQE in real estate and a good familiarity with commercial property work at all levels, as you will be trusted with your own case-load and encouraged to go out and meet clients from the offset. Those with lower PQE will be also be considered if they have the experience and expertise to hit the ground running.

You will also be able to choose your working week – either remote working or a day off of your choice.

An excellent opportunity for a real estate lawyer looking to progress their career with a leading regional practice, where they can enjoy a better work life balance and more personal visibility than may be available at a larger, national firm.

To apply, please email your CV, together with details of your current or most recent basic salary and package, to helena@brookethornham.com
